The nose is fresh and fruity. It reveals notes of cassis, blackberry, cherry and small notes of red berries associated with slight touches of toasted oak, caramelization as well as an imperceptible touch of almond, dark chocolate, olive, rose and a subtle hint of Cuben pepper. The palate is fruity, mineral, well-balanced and offers a fine acid frame, finesse, a beautiful minerality, a slight juiciness, gourmandise, a fine fleshiness, a small suavity, fat as well as a slight straightness. On the palate this Porto expresses notes of fleshy blackberry, red cherry, red berries / redcurrants and small notes of Quetsche plum associated with slight touches of eucalyptus, crushed cassis, fleshy raspberry, black olive as well as subtle hints of toasted oak, tonka bean and discreet hints of hazelnut on the finish. Tannins are well built.
