La Fortezza 2016 – Aglianico del Taburno DOCG

The nose offers a small intensity. This wine should be decanted. It reveals notes of small black berries, smoke, small notes of small wild fruits associated with a touch of cassis leaf, leather as well as very fine hints of local copse and a subtle hint of pepper (in the background). The palate is fruity, juicy and offers a beautiful pulpy/juicy fruit, a fine acidulous frame as well as a certain gourmandize and a very fine sapidity. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/acidulous cassis, acidulous blueberry, small notes of cherry associated with fine hints of smoke, a hint of incense and a discreet hint of pepper. An imperceptible hint of vanilla/hazelnut on the persistence.
