Enclos Tourmaline 2017 – Pomerol

Enclos Tourmaline 2017 – Pomerol

The nose is well-built and offers complexity. It reveals notes of blackberry, violet / iris and small notes of crunchy black berries / blackberry associated with fine touches of licorice, fine toasted touches, a discreet touch of grilled bread and an imperceptible touch of Cuben pepper. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, well-built, silky, racy and offers a fine tension, a beautiful grain, a small freshness, a fine juiciness as well as a good definition. On the palate this wine expresses notes of blackberry, iris / cornflowers and small notes of cassis associated with a subtle hint of plum skin, ripe / juicy black fruits, toasted oak, a discreet hint of black pepper, black tea as well as discreet hints of sweet spices and an imperceptible hint of earth. Tannins are structuring and well-built. There is a very discreet hint of almond on the finish / persistence (brings gourmandize and chew). Promising !
