Edmond Cornu & Fils, Les Bons Ores 2021 – Chorey-Lès-Beaune

The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose is fragrant and savory: it expresses the distinct notes of cloves, ground cumin, crushed pepper seeds, licorice, a touch of vanilla as well as smoked meat in the background. We also find aromas of wild strawberry, red cherry, morello cherry, raspberry and blueberry, combined with floral touches of fresh cornflower and rose, as well as a hint of mint. On the palate, the wine is airy, supple and light (in a good way). It expresses notes of wild strawberry, red cherry, raspberry, morello cherry, associated with floral notes (cornflower, violet), light spicy touches (nutmeg, crushed pepper seeds, licorice), toasted (toasted hazelnut) and smoke. The tannins are well structured, fine and velvety. A gourmand and supple wine, on fruits and with a lovely freshness on the palate.
