The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is restrained, with medium intensity. It reveals notes of red cherry, morello cherry, red plum, fresh blackcurrant, raspberry, as well as a slightly smoky and meaty touch, a discreet iron note. There is also a floral (dried rose petals, violet) and spicy (white pepper, liquorice) side. On the palate, the attack is ample, enveloping, on ripe and jammy fruits (red cherry, morello cherry, black plum, morello cherry jam, raspberry coulis, prunes), as well as with notes of dark chocolate, cinnamon and fresh flavors of rosemary and dried mint. The tannins are silky, fine, wrapped in a concentrated fruity bouquet. The finish is on the gripping side of tannins, softened by rich fruit and fresh but supple acidity.
