Domaine Ansodelles, Conversation 2020 – Bourgueil

The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is fragrant and savoury. It initially expresses light notes of roast and smoke (even a bit meaty), which are complemented after aeration by the aromas of ripe morello cherry, red cherry, wild strawberry, raspberry coulis, red currant jelly, as well as spicy notes of white pepper, licorice, grated nutmeg and floral touches of violet and infused rose petals. There is also a slight herbaceous touch of white tea. The mouth opens with gourmandise and bright flavors of fresh fruit. It expresses notes of red cherry, morello cherry juice, wild strawberry, raspberry coulis, red currant jelly, sweet spices (licorice, nutmeg, clove), flowers (fresh rose, violet) and a hint of wild mint. The tannins are fine and silky, but present and structured. Beautiful length in the mouth, crunchy acidity, roundness and gourmandise. A pleasant and fresh wine.
