Clos Saint-Martin 2020 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

On the nose it is fruity, elegant, racy and it offers a nice aromatic palette with floral notes. It reveals the notes of lilac, fresh boysenberry and peony associated with fresh/juicy cherry, lily, small hints of spice, nutmeg as well as discreet hints of Madagascar pepper (in the background) and a subtle varietal /local biotope. On the mouth it is fruity, offers a nice freshness, definition, juiciness, gourmandize, a nice floral aspects, plentitude, harmony, a tangy frame as well as a little stretched side. The wine expresses juicy/fresh blackberry, juicy/fresh raspberry, violet, peony associated with hints of lily, rose, bright cherry, fine hints of bright red currants as well as discrete hints of toast, nutmeg and a discreet touch of mocha. The tannins are finely mellow, racy and structuring. Beautiful bitterness at the end of the palate.
