Clos René 2018 – Pomerol

The nose is fruity, fresh, well-built, beautifully aromatic (when we work it in the glass) and offers a beautiful fruit, gourmandize, a fine intensity as well as a fine grain. This wine should be decanted. It reveals notes of bright strawberry, bright blueberry, small notes of bright cherry associated with touches of lily, cornflower, fresh liquorice, iris, fresh mild tobacco as well as a very dsicreet hint of hazelnut, spices and an imperceptible hint of timut pepper. The palate is fruity, fresh, elegant, beautifully built and offers gourmandize, a fine acidulous frame, suavity, a beautiful precise/bright fruit, a beautiful flowery character, a beautiful freshness and energy. On the palate this wine expresses notes of bright raspberry, bright cherry, small notes of bright blueberry associated with small touches of juicy Boysen berry, violet, lily as well as small hints of tonka bean, cardamom, liquorice, a very discreet hint of toasted and dry tobacco. Good length. Tannins are well-built and elegant. A very discreet hint of toasted oak and dry almont on the persistence.
