Clos Marsalette 2021 – Pessac-Léognan

The nose is fruity and reveals a nice freshness, racy minerality, sapidity and salinity. There are notes of wild blackberry, fresh berries and more lightly mocha combined with delicate touches of black pepper, a fine hint of fresh tobacco and a discreet saline touch. The palate is nicely juicy, fresh and reveals energy, acidity, minerality, freshness, good definition, good work on the bitter taste, good energy, some linearity. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fresh/pulpy dark berry, fresh raspberry and more lightly fresh cherry combined with hints of mocha, varietal flavours, racy minerality as well as hints of tonka bean, a subtle hint of bright blue berries and a subtle hint of liquorice and nutmeg.
