Clos Margalaine 2017 – Margaux

The nose is fresh, powerful and offers concentration. It reveals notes of fleshy strawberry, flowers/lily and more slightly racy minerality associated with fine touches of cassis, blueberry as well as hints of liquorice and sweet spices. The palate is fresh, fruity, full, suave, well-defined, precise, gourmand and offers a fresh frame as well as tension. On the palate this wine expresses notes of cassis, black cherry and fleshy/fresh wild raspberry associated with small touches of small ripe berries, cornflower/lily as well as fine hints of liquorice and discreet hints of caramelization. Tannins are fine and slightly firm. There is a discreet hint of coffee/almond on the finish/persistence.
