Clos Dubreuil 2019 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

The nose is fruity, elegant and offers a nice power in elegance, uprightness as well as a nice “sensuality” of the fruit (ripe and fresh). There are notes of sour cherry, ripe / fresh cassis and more slightly violet associated with touches of cornflower, small blue fruits, hints of sweet blond tobacco, star anise, toast as well as a discreet hint of pepper and caramelization. The palate is fresh, mineral, fruity, precise and offers a nice tangy frame, a nice racy / chalky texture, tension, accuracy, elegance as well as a nice stretched / long side. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fresh blackberry, pulpy / fresh cassis and more slightly of creamy purple plum associated with touches of fresh violet, cornflower, and pulpy berries as well as hints of caramelization, nuts. nutmeg, with fine hints of spices, dark chocolate, a hint of toasted almond and an imperceptible hint of tea (in the background). Tannins are precise, structuring, racy, fine and elegant. Good length. Nice bitterness at the end of the palate. Pretty, delicious and suave persistence. A wine that offers richness while freshness, race and delicacy. Well done !
