Château Malartic Lagravière 2016 – Pessac-Léognan, Grand Cru Classé de Graves

The nose is fresh, fruity, slightly powerful and offers a slight concentration as well as a small incisive side. It reveals notes of fresh blackberry and fresh strawberry associated with slight notes of cassis, toasted oak, sweet spices, slight touches of racy minerality as well as discreet hints of Sichuan pepper and an imperceptible minted hint. The palate is fruity, fresh, mineral (racy minerality), a bit tight and offers roundness, suavity, fat, a slight tension as well as a silky matter. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of fleshy blackberry, fleshy raspberry and slight notes of cassis associated with a discreet hint of toasted oak, minerality as well as a very discreet hint of chocolate. Tannins are ight, elegant and straight. Good length and persistence.
