Château Fombrauge 2006 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

Château Fombrauge 2006 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

The nose is aromatic and elegant. It reveals notes of blackberry and cassis combined with slight notes of truffle, underbrush as well as discreet notes of mocha, a hint of oak and a discreet touch of liquorice. The palate is fruity, relatively gourmande, well-balanced, elegant, slight aerial, relatively fat and offers a mineral frame and a nice silky matter. On the palate this wine expresses notes of blackberry, crushed /dried strawberry and cassis associated with slight notes of blackberry cream, licorice and a discreet touch of mocha, tobacco and toasted / caramelized oak. Tannins are fine and very slightly firm. Good length and persistence.
