Château Clos Beauséjour 2022 – Pomerol

Château Clos Beauséjour 2022 – Pomerol

The nose is fragrant, fresh and slightly sappy. It offers notes of fresh morello cherry, blackcurrant, blackberry, red cherry, blueberry and strawberry, accompanied by notes of licorice (even star anise), vanilla, nutmeg, as well as violet and peony (in the background). There are also slightly toasted (almond) and smoky notes. On the palate, the wine has a fine texture of tannins, a tight structure, a bit drying on the finish, but with a certain concentration and roundness on the finish. The flavors are ripe, slightly tangy, with bitterness on the finish. We find notes of blackcurrant, cranberries, morello cherry, strawberry, blueberry and black plum, accompanied by notes of black pepper, licorice, coffee and a slight touch of vanilla and bitter cocoa. Good acidity and good persistence on the palate.
