Champagne Perrier-Jouët – Belle Epoque 2004, Blanc de Blancs – Brut

The nose is fruity, juicy and offers elegance, a fine richness as well as a very discreet creaminess. It reveals notes of yellow fruits, ripe apple and small notes of frangipane/yellow flowers associated with touches of yellow peach, candied mandarin, ripe citrus as well as discreet vinous hints, honey and vanilla/sweet spices (in the background). The palate is fruity and offers a beautiful juiciness, minerality, a beautiful precision/harmony, delicacy, elegance, peps, gourmandize, roundness as well as a beautiful acidulous structure and finely tight. The effervescence is elegant and beautifully built. On the palate this Champagne expresses notes of ripe citrus, quince and small notes of yellow fruits associated with fine vinous touches, yellow flowers, bee wax as well as discreet hints of nougat and sweet spices. Good length. Gourmandize and appetence on hints of almond, nougat as well as vinous hints/cane sugar on the finish. Good length. This Champagne evolve a lot in the glass, do not hesitate to go back to it.
