Champagne Billecart-Salmon – Cuvée Nicolas Francois Billecart 2002 – Brut

The nose is aromatic/fruity, delicate, very elegant, nicely built and offers a beautiful maturity of the fruit. It reveals notes of white peach, apple, mirabelle and crème brulée associated with very slight notes of brugnon compote and an imperceptible woody hint. The palate is fruity, fine, delicate, elegant, suave and offers creaminess, straightness, a good maturity of the fruit, a beautiful freshness, a very nice fat as well as a certain roundness. The effervescence is creamy, very fine, dynamic and very elegant. In the mouth this Champagne expresses very slight notes of lemon and pineapple associated with a discreet touch of clementine, pear, walnuts as well as very discreet notes of cooked fruits, egg cream, spices and a very discreet hint of honey on the finish. Good length and beautiful persistence. There finish is relatively suave. A very beautiful Champagne!
