Camille Giroud 2015 – Gevrey-Chambertin

Camille Giroud 2015 – Gevrey-Chambertin

The nose is fruity, racy and slightly concentrated. It reveals notes of black berries, blackberry and hints of ripe strawberries, ripe raspberries combined with subtle hints of spices, terroir notes as well as an imperceptible touch of cornflower / blueberry, Sichuan pepper and mocha. The palate is fruity, soft, elegant, silky, beautifully built, aerial and offers a fine straightness, an acid frame, a slight juiciness, a slight suavity, a nice gourmandise, a nice delicacy as well as a nice definition. On the palate this wine expresses notes of blackberry, cassis, raspberry and slight touches of strawberry associated with slight touches of plum, spices as well as subtle touches of mocha, cardamom and wood. Tannins are fine, elegant and very discreetly chewy. There are slight touches of caramelization / chocolate on the persistence. Congratulations !
