Amiral de Beychevelle 2022 – Saint-Julien

Amiral de Beychevelle 2022 – Saint-Julien

The nose has a certain richness, an intense and velvety grain. It expresses notes of fleshy blackberry, creamy cherry and more lightly – cornflower associated with touches of star anise, iodine/saline gravel as well as hints of violet and a subtle hint of liquorice. The palate offers a lovely juiciness, smoothness, freshness and lightness, precision, gourmandise, tension. The palate is finely tight in its grain and has a finely soft tannin structure. It expresses notes of violet plum, fresh violet/lily and more slightly – small bright red berries associated with touches of chocolate, small creamy fruits as well as a hint of blond tobacco and a subtle almost smoky hint, gritty. The tannins are precise, distinguished, and have a certain slight power and a hint of chocolate in the background. A nice softness and sapidity on the finish/persistence.
