The Vinitaly trade fair is postponed again

Initially held from 18 to 24 April 2020 in Verona, the 54th edition of Vinitaly – International Wine and Spirits Exhibition – is now scheduled to take place from 20 to 23 June 2021 alongside Enolitech and Sol&Agrifood.

A strategic report

These dates were chosen on the basis of specific market research to allow non-European buyers to participate in several international events during the same period.

The decision was taken after a careful evaluation which also involved authoritative institutions able to formulate reliable forecasts for the pandemic curve and specific market research.

The move to June“, said Maurizio Danese, President of Veronafiere S.p.A., “is part of the revision of the positioning of the calendars of the main international trade fairs in Italy and abroad. Veronafiere’s Board of Directors and shareholders have reached an informed decision, based on the most reliable information available in the medical field, while also considering buyers from outside Europe. »

Other events to promote the wine sector will also take place in Europe during the same period. This is therefore a strategic and synergetic decision that will allow operators from market and information areas, especially from Asia and the United States – among the main visitors to our trade fairs – to optimise their participation schedules in a single trip.

Vinitaly will be a fundamental opportunity to relaunch wine and its most important markets by ensuring maximum commercial efficiency. It is one of the world’s most famous promotional events dedicated to wine, attracting around 125,000 specialised operators every year, including more than 33,000 from 145 countries.
