Where does the name of Château Ferrière come from?
For the anecdote the name of Château Ferrière comes from Gabriel Ferrière, its founder. This man was also multiple resources and officer of hunts of Louis XV and royal courtier in the square of Bordeaux. In addition to the creation of the property it also owes him its ranking as the 3ème Grand Cru Classé in 1855, on the occasion of the classification of wines of the Medoc.
The Château Ferrière welcomes you from Monday to Saturday, by appointment from 10am to 12.30pm and from 14h to 18h30. Remember to book by phone 05 57 88 76 65 or by email infos @ ferriere.com.
