San Polino Helichrysum 2018 – Brunello di Montalcino

San Polino Helichrysum 2018 – Brunello di Montalcino

The nose expresses aromas of ripe black fruits (blackcurrant, blueberry, morello cherry), refreshed after aeration by notes of tangy red fruits (bigarreau cherry, raspberry), fresh mint, pine needles. We also find an elegant spiciness (nutmeg, liquorice), a fine floral bouquet (violet, cornflower). The palate offers juicy fruity notes (blackcurrant, blueberry, morello cherry, red cherry, raspberry), a good bitterness of almond, coffee, as well as a spicy hint of liquorice and a touch of dried rose. The tannins are firm, grippy, but the finish is juicy, gourmet, tangy and salivating. It adds freshness and balances the tight and tannic grip in the mouth. Firmness and finesse.
