The wine has a pale brown color, with tiled and golden reflections. The nose offers depth, complexity and pronounced oxidative notes. The first nose expresses notes of fresh walnut, caramelised walnut, hazelnut praline, which then combine with warm and refined notes of torrefacion (mild coffee, coffee cream, toasted coconut, toasted vanilla), a savoury spiciness (dried ginger, nutmeg, fresh turmeric, a hint of saffron powder and a very fine touch of white pepper), as well as gourmand notes of pastry (custard cream, browned butter, toasted brioche, almond paste). We then find notes of dried fruits (dried fig, dried apricot, dates, prunes, currants, dried pineapple). The palate is expressive and savoury, with a lively and spicy attack. It opens with a pronounced peppery note and a spicy touch of fresh and dried ginger. We then find the rich and sweet notes of currants, quince paste, caramelised banana, dried apricot, apricot in syrup, dried pineapple, dried fig, dates, as well as sweet coffee, hazelnut praline, brown butter, pastry cream (or even lemon cream thanks to a good level of acidity), toasted brioche and a fine floral bouquet (violet in crystallized sugar). The finish is very long, with pronounced but quite pleasant oxidative notes (fresh nuts, caramel), to which fruity notes appearing at the end of the palate (very ripe mango, candied orange), giving to wine delicacy and youth. Lots of gourmandise, great depth, complexity and great persistence.
