One Formation – Shiraz / Grenach / Viognier 2015 – South Africa

The nose is aromatic and offers richness, a small concentration as well as a (very) slight creaminess. It reveals notes of crushed blackberry and crushed strawberry associated with touches of wild berries, chocolate, toasted touches as well as a very discreet hint of almond and Sichuan pepper. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, slightly acidulous and offers juiciness, suavity, a beautifull acid frame, a small tension, a good structure, a fine freshness as well as a fine minerality. On the palate this wine expresses notes of cassis, juicy boysenberry and small notes of fleshy / juicy redcurrants combined with slight hints of juicy strawberry, cherry, chocolate, slight toasted hint and very discreet hints of vanilla and almond. Tannins are a bit firm.
