Nicolas Gigard – Terre Blanche 2022 – Menetou-Salon

Nicolas Gigard – Terre Blanche 2022 – Menetou-Salon

The wine has a pale lemon color with green reflections. The nose is a bit reserved and delicate. It expresses notes of green apple, yellow lemon, lime juice, crisp white peach, a herbaceous touch of lemon thyme, fragrant floral aromas (apple blossom, apricot blossom), a subtle note of candied citrus peel (in the background), as well as a mineral touch (dry stone, chalk). On the palate, the wine offers freshness and straightness. It expresses the chiselled notes of lime, lime zest, lemon, green apple (more apple skin), lemon thyme, verbena, apple blossom, as well as a touch of limestone and a delicate salinity on the finish. The finish is tangy, rather lingering, with sharp acidity. A chiseled wine, with a beautiful structure.
