N°3 d’Angélus 2021 – Saint-Émilion

N°3 d’Angélus 2021 – Saint-Émilion

The nose is fruity and offers power, fine concentration, finesse in its power and a nice little stretch. There are notes of ripe/pulpy wild blackcurrant, crushed raspberry and more lightly pulpy/ripe red berry fruit combined with fine touches of blueberry, lily and a discreet touch of pepper and nutmeg. The palate is fruity and reveals juiciness, energy, a certain gourmandize as well as a nice acidic backbone. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, violet and more slightly bright raspberry combined with hints of crushed currants, hints of tart blue berries, almond, nutmeg and a subtle hint of toast and vanilla. Palatability/salinity and sweetness on the finish. Good work on the bitter taste on the finish. A very discreet/imperceptible sapiness in the background.
