Muse du Val 2016 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

The nose is fruity, blackberry, elegant, slightly concentrated and offers freshness as well as a slight minerality. It reveals notes of blackberry cream, creme de cassis and slight notes of plum associated with a hint of toasted oak, a slight hint of caramelization as well as an imperceptible hint of chocolate, flowers and Sichuan pepper. The palate is fruity, mineral, well-balanced, clean/precise, elegant, fresh, silky and offers fat, a small roundness, dynamism, a nice volume, a slight tension as well as gourmandise. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of juicy blackberry, creme de cassis and slight notes of plum associated with a discreet hint of strawberry, ripe/fresh raspberry, chocolate, woody hint as well as an imperceptible hint of cardamom. Tannins re fine and slightly silky. Good length. There is a very discreet hint of caramelization on the persistence.
