Markowitsch Meinrad 2015 – Carnuntum

The nose is slightly tight and offers density and a fine freshness. It reveals notes of fleshy blackberry, wild fruits associated with fine toasted touches, red berries/ripe raspberry as well as fine hints of leather, spices, gray pepper and a discreet hint of pepper. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a beautiful definition, a fine unctuosité, a beautiful guideline as well as definition and a juicy/finely acidulous frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy blackberry, fleshy/juicy cherry and small notes of juicy/fleshy raspberry associated with fine toasted touches, tonka bean, cardamom and a very discreet hint of tea. Fine hints of cocoa on the finish. A beautiful persistence with hints of dark chocolate.
