Le Clarence de Haut-Brion 2020 – Pessac-Léognan

On the nose, elegant, aromatic and offers a beautiful grain that is slightly powdery, opulent, intense, well-balanced. It reveals notes of pulpy wild blackberry, pulpy wild cassis with subtle notes of wild strawberry and touches of small wild fruits, violet, lilies as well wafts of cardamom, graphite, timut pepper, zest and grey pepper. On the palate, fruity and offers juiciness, brightness with suavity, freshness, straightness with a certain tension, precision, and suavity, gourmandize and elegance. The wine expresses notes of pulpy / juicy blackberry, cassis with subtle hints pulpy / juicy raspberry and fleshy / juicy small red fruits and wafts of lily, tonka bean, black tea, peony, and discrete notes of nutmeg, salt, with a subtle hint of grey pepper and sweet blond tobacco. Good length. The tannins are well developed. A nice touch of pleasant bitterness on the finish (awakens the taste buds and brings liveliness).
