La Reserve de Malartic Lagraviere 2017 – Pessac-Leognan

The nose is aromatic, concentrated and offers a fine intensity. It reveals notes of wild berries and wild red berries associated with small touches of cassis, liquorice as well as hints of oak. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a good definition, suavity, fat, a good acid frame, a small tension, fullness, freshness as well as a slightly tight grain. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/crunchy cassis, red berries and more slightly red fruits associated with fine touches of blackberry, liquorice stick as well as discreet touches of toasted/oak. Tannins are slightly dry/firm. Good length. Fine power on the finish. There is a very discreet hint of roasted almond on the finish/persistence.
