Jean Cave 1970 – Armagnac

Jean Cave 1970 – Armagnac

(Brut de fût) The nose is elegant, fruity and offers good definition as well as harmony. There are notes of crushed Zante currant, dried apricot and small notes of dried lemon associated with small touches of dried flowers, dried rose, rancio as well as very discreet hints of caramelization and a subtle hint of cigar. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, finesse, a small acidulous frame, a good definition, precision, power, a small freshness as well as a good guideline. On the palate, this Armagnac expresses notes of dry yellow grapes, dried peach and small notes of candied apple associated with small touches of dried apricot, caramel pear, cigar as well as a hint of pepper and pâtisseries. Good length. Presence of a very discreet hint of toasted Gascon oak on the finish / persistence.
