Fratelli Serio & Battista Borgogne – Cannubi 2013 Riserva – Barolo

The nose is elegant, aromatic, racy and offers a very beautiful finesse, a beautiful maturity, a beautiful deppness, a poetic side as well as a beautiful complexity. It reveals notes of ripe wild strawberry, dried black cherry and small notes of very ripe wild red berries, ripe violet plum associated with touches of gray pepper, dried tobacco, hints of copse as well as a very discreet hint of toasted, violet, dry ground of local forest, liquorice stick and an imperceptible hint of mushroom. The palate this mineral, well-balanced and offers a beautiful definition, tension, a beautiful acidulous frame, straightness as well as a very beautiful finesse and guideline. On the palate thi wine expresses notes of ripe/juicy red berries, fleshy/juicy wild strawberry and small notes of plum associated with fine touches of blackberry, chocolate, toasted, fine hints of cornflower, laurel, dry ground of local forest (place) as well as discreet hints of liquorice toasted, chocolate and an imperceptible hint of underwood. Tannins are fine, elegant and structuring. There are a very discreet hint of salinity and a discreet hint of carmelization on the persistence.
