The nose is powerful, aromatic and offers intensity. It reveals notes of wild red berries, elderberry and small notes of cassis, violet, small touches of Sichuan pepper associated with discreet hints of camphor, spices as well as an imperceptible hint of scrubland /rosemary. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers suavity, a small straightness as well as a slight acidulous frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of black cherry, crushed/ripe red berries and small notes of elderberry, crushed blackberry associated with slight touches of scrubland, iris / olive tree as well as small hints of cardamom, tonka bean, sweet spices and discreet hints of tobacco. The finish is slightly tight. Tannins are a bit dry. (2022+)
