Enclos Tourmaline 2021 – Pomerol

Enclos Tourmaline 2021 – Pomerol

The nose is fresh, generous, well-defined, meticulous, precise, and complex in its finesse and depth. There are notes of crunchy wild blackcurrant, violet and more slightly bright blueberry combined with hints of crushed strawberry, fine peony, lilac, exotic spices, a very discreet hint of stick, liquorice and a subtle almost infusion-like hint of Madagascar pepper and chocolate in the background. The palate is fresh, mineral, balanced, finely tight and reveals a nice definition, gourmandize, tension, energy, some fat, generosity (all in elegance, freshness and complexity) as well as a nice attention to detail. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of bright blackcurrant, blueberry and, more slightly, fresh sour blue plum combined with hints of crushed raspberry, subtle hints of lilac, cherry blossom, fresh peony, as well as fine hints of tonka bean, sweet blond tobacco and a subtle touch of oriental spices. The tannins are precise, elegant, fine and supple. Good length.
