Domaine Vendange, Madame de M… 2020 – Roussette de Savoie

The wine has a golden color of medium intensity. The nose is fragrant and complex. It first expresses notes of honey, beeswax, dried white flowers (dried linden, chamomile), white lily, associated with fine notes of saffron and toast, a touch of butter, everything is enveloped by the fruity roundness (fresh golden apple, yellow peach, apricot, Williams pear) and refreshed by a touch of candied lemon and lemon zest. The palate is enveloping, with a slightly sweet attack, balanced by a pleasant bitterness that appears in themid-palate. We find bitter notes of candied lime and grapefruit, associated with the roundness of yellow peach, apricot and honey, as well as notes of honey, saffron and white flowers (dried linden, chamomile infusion, acacia). The finish is savoury and persistent, with a pleasant bitterness and a rather round, but fresh acidity. A wine with concentration and complexity.
