Domaine des Remizières – Cuvée Christophe 2019 – Crozes-Hermitage

The nose is precise, elegant and offers a small concentration as well as a fine minerality. It reveals notes of wild blackberry, small ripe wild berries, small notes of fresh bigarreau cherry associated with small touches of strawberry, rosemary flowers as well as hints of dry local grove, cuben pepper, black olive, toasted almond as well as a very fine hint of mocha. The palate is delicate, fine, elegant, beautifully built, racy, full of precision/finesse and offers freshness, a small melodious side, a controlled power as well as deepness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of crushed blackberry, pulpy/juicy cassis, small notes of bright bigarreau cherry associated with small touches of blueberry, violet, black olive, hints of racy minerality, camphor as well as fine hints of dry local grove, grey pepper and a subtle hint of tobacco. Tannins are precise and structuring. There are fine hints of dark chocolate, caramelization as well as a beautiful gourmandize in the finish. Good length and persistence.
