Clos Saint-Vincent 2022 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

The nose is pretty, fresh and fruity with density, a fine floral side as well as a discreet roasted side. There are notes of violet, pulpy/ripe blackcurrant and slight notes of pepper associated with touches of spices as well as a discreet hint of fresh saffron. The palate is fresh, mineral and offers fruit, a certain concentration, a lovely freshness, density as well as a graphite or even powdery side. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy blackberries, small juicy/dense black fruits and small notes of violet associated with touches of fresh/pulp redcurrants as well as hints of tea, tonka bean as well as notes of toasted hazelnuts and a hint of varietal even eucalyptus in the background. The tannins are chalky. A hint of cocoa on the lingering finish.
