Clo’ Clotilde Pain, Secrets d’Alcôve 2020 – Chinon

Clo’ Clotilde Pain, Secrets d’Alcôve 2020 – Chinon

The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose offers a lot of freshness and a fine and precise mineral (limestone) framework. We also find notes of wild strawberry, raspberry, red cherry, a touch of cranberries, blackcurrant and blueberry, associated with fresh notes of crushed mint, blackcurrant leaf (see tomato leaf, which brings freshness and not a green hints), as well as violet, wild rose and lilac. We also feel a slight spicy touch (licorice, ground coriander seeds). The palate expresses the accuracy, straightness and juiciness of ripe fruit, combined with a beautiful salivating acidity and structured, but silky tannins. We find notes of strawberry, crushed raspberry, morello cherry, red cherry jam, blueberry and fresh blackcurrant, as well as floral notes of violet, rose petals and lily. The finish is refined and persistent, with notes of juicy fruit, sweet spices and a touch of chocolate cherry in the background.
