Château Viella – Prestige 2015 – Madiran

Château Viella – Prestige 2015 – Madiran

The nose is aromatic. It reveals notes of wild blackberries, cardamom, small black fruits and toasted notes combined with discreet hints of crushed strawberry, gray pepper as well as very discreet hints of clove. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, a bit tight and offers a small tension, a slight juiciness, suavity, roundness, a good structure as well as an acidulous frame. On the palate this finish expresses notes of blackberries, black cherries and small notes of black berries associated with small touches of tonka bean, small fleshy / juicy red fruits, cardamom, spices as well as discreet hints of undergrowth and licorice / Bourbon vanilla. Tannins are slightly firm and structuring. There are hints of hazelnut, Bourbon vanilla and licorice stick on the persistence.
