Château Saint-Pierre 2017 – Pomerol

Château Saint-Pierre 2017 – Pomerol

The nose is fresh, racy, mineral, slightly tight and offers a fine gourmandize. It reveals notes of fleshy blackberry, fleshy blue fruits and more slightly cornflower/lily associated with small touches of raspberry/fresh small red fruits as well as fine touches of almond, zan and a subtle hint of sugared mild tobacco. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a good definition, a fine mineral frame, tension, a small suavity as well as straightness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy blackberry, crushed raspberry, crushed blue fruits and more slightly small touches of juicy/ripe berries associated with fine touches of racy minerality, liquorice, toasted/almond and a very discreet hint of chocolate (in the background). Tannins are fine and slightly firm. Good length. There is a very discreet hint of coffee on the persistence/aftertaste.
