Château Rayne-Vigneau 2022 – Sauternes, Grand Cru Classé

The nose is fruity, fresh, delicate in its relative power. It offers a little intensity, notes of fresh kumquat, sweet/fresh mandarin and more slightly – roasted pineapple associated with small touches of apricot blossom, roast, as well as fine hints of spices, of sugared apple and a discreet hint of nougat in the background. The palate is fresh, fruity and offers roundness, smoothness, a little syrupy side, gourmandise, tension, accuracy, good balance and some stretchiness. It expresses notes of crushed apple, small jammy fruits and more slightly – tangerine in syrup, associated with touches of roasted pineapple as well as hints of mango, nougat, a hint of vanilla and a subtle almost fresh hazelnut in the background. Roundness, minerality, balance and some spiciness in the background.
