Château Puygueraud 2016 – Francs Côtes de Bordeaux

The nose is fruity, fine, elegant and offers richness/gourmandise (but full of balance). It reveals notes of crushed/fresh blackberry and slight notes of fresh/ripe raspberry associated with very discreet hints of saline minerality, a few slight toasted hints as well as a discreet note of butter. The palate is fruity, juicy, well-balanced and offers a good minerality, a good definition, a beautiful fat, a slight tension, a slight gourmandise as well as an acid frame. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of fleshy blackberry and fleshy/fresh strawberry associated with slight notes of licorice, toasted oak as well as an imperceptible hint of cornflower and clay/terroir. Tannins are very fine, well-built and slightly firm. Good length and persistence. The persistence is gourmand and aromatic.
