Château Pape Clément (blanc) 2022 – Pessac-Léognan

The nose is elegant, mineral, racy and offers delicacy as well as a certain controlled richness. We find notes of ripe lemon, quince and slight notes of racy minerality associated with touches of fleshy/juicy vine peach, white flowers, spices as well as fine hints of exotic fruits, creaminess and with a discreet hint of vanilla. The palate is fruity, balanced and offers freshness, creaminess in freshness, energy, dynamics, an airy side in its richness as well as pulpiness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of creamy apple, creamy/pulpy nectarine and small notes of lemon associated with touches of juicy/ripe citrus fruits, hints of elderflower, quenette, passion fruit as well as ‘with a subtle hint of iodine/saline minerality, a discreet hint of almost ripe pineapple and fine hints of vanilla. Nice juiciness, tangy, freshness, roundness and substance.
