Château Lestage 2021 – Listrac-Médoc

Château Lestage 2021 – Listrac-Médoc

The nose reveals a hint of toastiness/roastiness. There are notes of pulpy blackcurrant, pulpy strawberry and more slightly nutmeg combined with hints of toasted almond and a subtle hint of vanilla. The palate is fruity, tight, precise, taut and reveals minerality, freshness, a finely pronounced tannic structure, a little juiciness, a tangy structure and a certain straightness. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, black plum and, to a lesser extent, raspberry, combined with hints of violet, lily, roasted coffee, a subtle hint of toast and hints of toasted almond. Good length. A subtle, almost saline quality on the finish. The tannins are fine and mellow.
