Château Les Anguilleys 2016 – Médoc, Cru Bourgeois

The nose is aromatic and offers a small intensity. This wine should be decanted. It reveals notes of violet, cassis and more slightly small wild red fruits associated with fine hints of nutmeg, racy minerality and spices. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, frank, precise and offers minerality, tension, a fine fat as well as a mineral frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of griotte, cassis and more slightly blackberry associated with touches of wild raspberry, violet as well as hints of racy minerality, toasted and a very discreet hint of liquorice/cardamom. Tannins are well-built. Good length. There are hints of chocolate and toasted/vanilla on the finish/persistence.
