Château Lafleur du Roy 2014 – Pomerol

Château Lafleur du Roy 2014 – Pomerol

The nose is fruity as well as relatively aromatic and fine. It reveals notes of crushed blackberry and cassis associated with slight notes of raspberry jam, violet as well as hints of wood and chocolate. The mouth is fruity, mineral, gourmand, straight, elegant, ample and offers tension, a good definition and a nice fat, suavity, roundness and unctuousity. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of blackberry, sour cherry and slight notes of blueberry, crunchy strawberry associated with slight touches of red berries, chocolate, toasted wood as well as a hint of cardamon and tobacco. Tannins are very fine and slightly dry. Good length and persistence. There are (very) slight hints of caramelization on the persistence / aftertaste.
