Château Fombrauge 2017 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé

The nose is fresh, well-balanced and offers a good definition as well as power. It reveals notes of crushed blackberry, fleshy small black fruits and fleshy strawberry associated with small touches of toasted, almond and liquorice slightly mentholated. The palate is fresh, fruity, well-balanced and offers a good definition, a beautiful freshness, a beautiful tension, a fine unctuosity, a beautiful fullness as well as gourmandize. On the palate this wine expresses notes of cassis, blackberry and black cherry associated with fine touches of toasted oak, liquorice slightly mentholated, hints of crushed almond (in the background) as well as small hints of flowers, discreet touches of oak and an imperceptible hint of roasting (in the background). Tannins are fine and fleshy. Good length. There are hints of crushed nut on the persistence.
