Château Coutet 2021 – Barsac 1er Cru Classé

The nose is elegant, fresh, racy and shows a certain minerality, a fine straightness. There are notes of crisp flat peach, white flowers and, more slightly, fresh verbena combined with fine touches of fresh lychee and a subtle hint of quince, fresh quince, a subtle hint of lemon and fresh physalis. The palate is fruity and demonstrates freshness, minerality, good definition, a certain gourmandize, a nice finesse in its tension, straightness, racy minerality, energy, finesse in its guidance. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of sweet lemon, crystallised mandarin and, more slightly, crisp vine peach, associated with fine touches of sour pineapple, a hint of quince, dried apricot, almond, and discreet hints of acacia and brioche/caramel. A nice aromatic persistence.
