Château Carmenère 2019 – Médoc

Château Carmenère 2019 – Médoc

The nose is fruity, well-built and offers a fine concentration/power. It reveals notes of wild cassis, small wild fruits, small notes of violet associated with fine touches of griotte, cardamom, small ripe plum as well as fine hints of spices (in the background). The palate is very discreetly tight and offers elegance, minerality, gourmandize, an acidulous frame, a good guideline as well as a beautiful definition on juicy fruit and minerality. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/ripe cassis, blackberry, small notes of cornflower associated with a touch of griotte as well as fine hints of small ripe plum, discreet hints of liquorice/zan and spices. A very discreet hint of vanilla on the persistence. Good length/persistence.
