Champagne Charlemagne – Cuvée Les Coulmets 2013 – Le Mesnil, Blanc de Blancs – Grand Cru – Extra Brut

The nose is fruity and offers elegance as well as gourmandize. It reveals notes of lemon cream, vine peach and small notes of crunchy mirabelle associated with fine hints of mandarin (in the background), kumquat as well as very discreet hints of spices and white flowers (in the background). The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a good definition, a fine juiciness, a small straightness, a fine acidulous frame as well as a racy minerality. The effervescence is very fin, well-built and offer dynamism. On the palate this Champagne expresses notes of juicy lemon, juicy vine peach and small notes of juicy green apple associated with fine/discreet hints of quince/Mirabelle plum as well as an imperceptible hint of toasted almond/biscuit (in the background). Good persistence.
