Vinexpo America & Drinks America 2023 – two flagship events for the North American beverage industry.
From March 8 to 9, the second edition of the event will be held, which brings together two of the most important trade fairs for the world of wine and spirits in North America. It will highlight the latest trends in the beverage industry through its program of conferences, masterclasses and an organization specially designed for business meetings.
After the first event that brought together Vinexpo America and Drinks America in 2022, its return has been confirmed for March 8-9, 2023. The second edition will continue the dynamics of the main event for the wine and spirits industry in North America. , where more than 380 exhibitors from 30 countries were present. For the 2023 edition, the list of exhibitors already includes 19 countries and the masterclass program continues to fill up. This year, Robert Tobiasse, President of NABI, National Association of Beverage Importers, joined the Advisory Board, where along with 12 other leaders of the beverage industry in the United States he will contribute to the development of Vinexpo America and Drinks America.
The beverage industry from around the world represented at the same event
Vinexpo America and Drinks America are two fairs that take place within the framework of the most important exhibition for professionals in the world of wine, spirits, and other alcoholic beverages in North America. For two days, visitors will be able to discover a wide range of wines from around the world, to which Vinexpo America is exclusively dedicated. They will also have access to a rich selection of spirits, beers, ready-to-drink, saké, and other products and services related to the beverage industry.
With major producers and distributors of wines and spirits, the event will welcome young producers who have been in the industry for less than 5 years, in order to help them start their businesses or increase their sales. They will have a specially dedicated space – “New Wave” which is still accepting requests from exhibitors for this year.
Varied masterclass program
One of the objectives of Vinexpo America Drinks America is to offer visitors an educational program that will highlight recent trends in the world of wines and spirits. For example, during a masterclass, the visitors will have the opportunity to discover the diversity of the Grenache grape variety, learn the particularities of its viticulture, and taste different quality wines made from this grape variety.
Another masterclass will feature Awamori – a Japanese rice-based spirit with 600 years of history. The masterclass will present six producers of this spirit, which is almost not exported, and will allow lovers of mezcal or brandy to discover a new product.
The Bordeaux region will be presented during the masterclass on the new classification of Crus Bourgeois du Médoc, introduced in 2020. He will explain the specifications of this classification, its environmental and qualitative requirements, as well as illustrate each level of the classification: Cru Bourgeois, Cru Bourgeois Supérieur and Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel. The masterclass program promises to be rich and varied and continues to fill up.
“The Buzz” – the space dedicated to trends in the beverage industry
An entire space – “The Buzz” will be dedicated to discussions around trends in the beverage industry. It will host conferences and lead discussions around events and trends that have an impact on the entire industry. One of the sessions organised will help to better understand consumers of different generations – from X to Z – in order to better respond to their demands. Another session will focus on the hiring process in the beverage industry with the aim of helping participants standardise and improve the search for new employees. Finally, the program also includes a session for wine and spirits producers on the financing of their business and the taxes related to their activities.
Two main conferences within “The Buzz” are aimed at the wine and spirits trade. The first, Staying Ahead of Alcohol’s Ecommerce Complexities, is dedicated to the rapid development of e-commerce in alcoholic beverages, accelerated by consumers. Industry professionals attending this conference will learn how to keep up with these changes and take advantage of them.
Another conference, Omnichannel Personalization: Customer-Centric Sales and Marketing in Wine, Beer, & Spirits, will highlight the importance of omnichannel – a business strategy to unite and streamline purchases across all channels: in-store, online and via mobile. Its objective will be to explain how the personalization of this multiple distribution channel will allow brands and producers to have loyal customers.
